Tereza Sabová joins Ogilvy as Social Director
Social media expertise at Ogilvy agency changes leadership. Tereza Sabová is joining Ogilvy from McCann, returning to Ogilvy after nine years and replacing Barbora Fryč Šumanská as Social Director. In addition to expert and business development of the discipline, she will also be responsible for managing a team of twenty-five.
Ogilvy's social media team currently works for both regional clients (e.g. LEGO, Mars) and local clients (e.g. T-Mobile, Raiffeisenbank, Hartmann or Calibra) and is one of the most highly regarded agency teams in terms of efficiency. Since mid-February, it has had new leadership: Tereza Sabová has taken over from Barbora Fryč Šumanská, who founded and led this specialisation at Ogilvy Czech six years ago.
Tereza Sabová has been in the industry for fifteen years and has extensive experience in managing integrated advertising campaigns and complex communication projects combining ATL, BTL, digital, social and PR for a wide range of clients, from FMCG to telecommunications, insurance to energy. A key skill he brings to Ogilvy is leading multi-disciplinary teams and effectively integrating communication disciplines to ensure the outcome delivers the greatest benefit to the brand and client.
She joins Ogilvy from McCann, where as Account Director she was responsible for B2C and B2B communications for Vodafone, the client with whom she has the longest professional relationship. In 2016, for example, she was at the launch of communications for the #jetovtoba youth tariffs and has led it since 2018 - communications has won a number of awards, including several Effies, IMC Awards (now Impact Awards) and ADC Awards.
"My aim is to build on the team's strong expertise in social media, including strategy and content creation for these channels, and to link it effectively with other areas of communications. I also want to focus on developing the social team's collaboration with the teams at Ogilvy and across WPP agencies, as well as greater connectivity and stronger collaboration with Ogilvy's expert Social.Lab team," says Tereza Sabová on her arrival. She has previously worked at Ogilvy as an Account Manager in the advertising team.
