Victory at Young Lions

24/03/2026

Our colleagues Anežka Nováková and Michal Janči won first place in the Young Lions in the Media category. At the same time, our colleagues Tereza Sládečková and Viktorie Kardová received an honourable mention in the PR category. We are very happy that two teams from Ogilvy succeeded among the awardees and we congratulate everyone.

Young Lions is an international competition for young professionals under 30, where teams work under time pressure on a real brief for a nonprofit organization. Winners of national rounds advance to the global final held as part of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Strava for Strava

The Media category award goes to Anežka Nováková and Michal Janči for the project Strava for Strava, created for the nonprofit organization Mary's Meals.

The idea builds on the insight that young people want to help, but traditional fundraising often relies on guilt, which tends to lead to one time engagement rather than long term motivation. The project therefore looks for a different approach and connects helping with something close to people, namely running and running communities.

It uses the environment of the Strava app and the phenomenon of GPS art, where runners create visual shapes in maps through their routes. In this case, those shapes take the form of food, which participants then share with the hashtag StravaForStrava. The project naturally connects running communities with support for children in need and culminates on World Hunger Day in cooperation with RunCzech.

It Takes Two to Swing a Child

The honourable mention in the PR category goes to Tereza Sládečková and Viktorie Kardová for the project It Takes Two to Swing a Child, focused on supporting single parent families.

The idea is based on the insight that the world is often designed for two, including the world of children. Through an interactive PR activation in parks, playgrounds, and the Prague Zoo, it draws attention to the situation of single parents and motivates the public to get involved. The goal of the project is to raise funds to support one hundred families within the first year and at the same time reach new audiences through social media and ambassadors.
