Summer joy in the style of #MeziSvymi: Ogilvy is behind the new campaign for T-Mobile
For T-Mobile’s new summer campaign, Ogilvy created a TV spot, social media content, and audio spots for Spotify and shopping centres. The campaign builds on the long-term #MeziSvými concept and aims to make the summer more enjoyable for customers – with gifts, data, and a dose of fun.
T-Mobile wants its customers to enjoy the summer to the fullest – together, #MeziSvými. That’s why the new campaign comes with thoughtful gifts: the popular Cornetto ice cream from Algida, a practical magenta towel, and 20 GB of free data for all customers with a Next tariff. The offer also includes a special Summer Cinema feature in Magenta TV and six months of Wolt+ for free.
"Summer is all about enjoying life without complications. After a short break, T-Mobile has returned to its tradition of summer gifts. The campaign is designed to make people happy – that’s reflected in the tone as well. We created a message that feels light, positive, and connected to the little joys of summer,” says Kim Hofmanová, Senior Strategic Planner at Ogilvy.
The campaign’s TV spot is set at a pool on a hot summer day. People are relaxing on deckchairs until they notice a man inflating a giant magenta float. It turns out to be a massive number "20" – symbolizing the 20 GB of free data T-Mobile is giving away all summer long.
The spot and accompanying audio formats lean into an authentic summer vibe with a simple message: that summer is best spent #MeziSvými. It was shot at Hotel Orlík pool by director Jan Ruttner, who captured the unmistakable feel of Czech summer.
Beyond the TV ad, the campaign includes a series of cheerful audio spots for radio and shopping centers, such as:
"Attention, please! Dear visitors to our swimming pool: the sun is blazing, don’t forget your sunscreen and don’t forget to grab your free ice cream and towel at the nearest T-Mobile store. Thank you! End of announcement!"
“In summer, we want to give people something extra – wherever they are. Thanks to our collaboration with Ogilvy, we created a campaign that connects strong emotion with tangible benefits, perfectly aligned with our long-running #MeziSvými platform,” adds Michal Šlechta, Marketing Communication Manager at T-Mobile.
The campaign runs from June 23 through the end of August and includes TV, online, audio, social media, and in-store activations.
